Daily Post Tiny Bites; Gooey tomato and tuna pasta

IF YOU are looking for a quick and filling dinner for little ones, this tuna pasta is ideal.

Gooey tomato and tuna pasta

Ingredients

150g Fusilli (bows) pasta

10 cherry tomatoes (cut in ½)

A tea spoon crushed garlic

One yellow pepper (diced)

One green pepper (diced)

One onion, finely diced

200ml passata

A tin of tuna (drained)

100g grated Cheddar cheese

Dessert spoon olive oil

Dessert spoon chopped parsley

Method

1. Cook pasta in boiling salted water until soft but firm, remove and run under cold water to cool.

2. Put oil in pan and gently shallow fry the onions until transparent. Add the garlic and peppers and cook for two mins. Add tuna and stir through.

3. Pour in Passata and stir, add cherry tomatoes, then the pasta to gently re-heat.

4. Sprinkle in half the cheese and stir well then sprinkle in remainder of the cheese and parsley. Stir one last time, to make nice and gooey, then serve.
