Taylor on button again in Alliance

HOUGHWOOD’S Barry Taylor’s fine run of form continued at the Liverpool Alliance at Huyton and Prescot where he won the individual section and claimed a share of second place in the pro-am.

A 36 points total gave him top individual place by one point from Mike Jones from Upton and Caldy’s Martin Robinson.

Chris Crowder of West Lancashire, with 14 handicap Neil Reeves from Huyton and Prescot, won the pro-am with 41 points, two clear of the partnerships of John Fisher and Keith Wilson from the home club, Houghwood’s Taylor and Phil Schofield and Mike Jones and Peter Bostock from Upton.

Terry O’Hara and Ray Kenny, on their home ground, won the am-am with 40 points. Second place was shared by Chris Cartwright and Tim Apel (West Lancashire), David Rothwell and Len Cross (Shaw Hill) and Ben Keegan and Steve Stewart (Bromborough), all with 38.
