No match for Paxton talent

KELLY PAXTON from Wallasey won the Cheshire Girls best match player of the year award for 2007.

The prize is given to the girl who won the most matches in the county junior team during the past season.

Five more girls achieved a single figure handicap during the year – Jade Evans, Zoe Evans, Lauren Oleskik, Rachel Hawkins and Lauren Drake.

Claire Fry, Zoe Evans, Gemma Clews, Kelly Paxton and Bronte Law all played in at least three county matches and gained three points to achieve their Junior colours.

The winning team of Charlotte Leatham, Gemma Clews, Abbie Cowlard, Imogen Wilson, Flossie Logan and Fraya Rowlands were presented with team pictures from the Northern Girls Jamboree at the annual Cheshire County Ladies Golf Association prize-giving, held at Portal.
