IF YOU have an old golf club in the attic, golf book or some other golf item which seems special you might like to make an appointment at a golf memorabilia valuation day being held by Bonhams the auctioneers at Southport on Thursday.

The result could be a surprise and indeed worthwhile. Bonham golf sales have included a Samuel Ryder putter for £18,000.

Thursday’s venue is at Botanic Road, Churchtown, Southport (10am-3pm).
