LOCAL private rented sector landlords and residential letting agents are being urged to attend a free meeting to discuss Government plans for the mandatory licensing of the sector.
The meeting, which has been organised by the Merseyside and Wirral Property Landlord Action Group, takes place at the Queens Royal Hotel, 1st floor function suite, in New Brighton, on Wednesday, July 1, at 7pm.
The group says the plans for mandatory licensing registration will affect every landlord and residential letting agent.
In a statement, the group said: “This is part of a determined attempt by the Government to completely overhaul the residential lettings industry which is both long overdue and necessary.
“It is therefore vital that those affected by this do make every effort to come along to the meeting so the plans can be explained in full, followed by a question and answer session.”
The action group will be adding its own response to the consultation paper already in circulation, including all comments made on the night.
FOR further information and details about the event, call the action group on 0151 639 6253 up to 10pm, Monday to Friday.
