BUDGET airline Ryanair said yesterday said it carried 23% more last month than in November 2006.
The carrier, headed by Michael O’Leary, and which operates 44 routes out of Liverpool John Lennon Airport, said it carried a total of 3.89m passengers during the period thanks to a greater number of routes.
However, Ryanair’s load factor, the percentage of how many seats it has filled, was down year-on-year from 79% to 78%.
Last month the Dublin-based airline shrugged off rising fuel prices to report record half-year profits and raise its full-year profit target.
It posted a 23% rise in pre-tax profits to £305.3m for the six months to September 30, and said its passenger numbers had soared.
Ryanair said its costs had grown 5% thanks to higher oil prices, rising staff overheads and increased airport charges at Stansted Airport.
