NEW media agency New Mind has opened an office in Timisoara, in Romania, as a springboard to sell its market-leading destination management system for tourism websites across Europe.
The Romanian office employs eight software developers who will work closely with New Mind’s UK development team.
New Mind’s Timisoara office will support the company’s plans for Europe.
The firm’s software now powers tourism websites for regions across Britain, including Merseyside, Chester, the South West, the South East and the North East.
Initial research indicates strong demand exists for its software in Europe, and based on its successful six year track-record in the UK, the company appears poised to expand on this success into the European tourism market.
Managing director Richard Veal said: “Romania is a fast developing country with a highly skilled workforce. There were bureaucratic obstacles to overcome and some cultural differences, but on the whole the project has gone very smoothly.”
