Japanese take advice from Liverpool on rebuilding cities through culture
A JAPANESE delegation was in Liverpool yesterday to discuss supporting cultural projects.
The EU-Japan Fest Japan Committee, based in Tokyo, works on cultural exchanges.
The 11-strong party shared ideas with people from Liverpool’s civic, commercial and cultural sectors.
Chairman Yoji Ohashi said: “It’s very significant for us to learn from you on how to regenerate our cities.”
Cllr Flo Clucas, deputy leader of Liverpool City Council, and Kris Donaldson, director of Liverpool Culture Company addressed the delegation on using culture as a tool for regeneration.
