Media City will boost Liverpool and the region, says BBC Director-General

THE opening of the Media City development at Salford Quays will bring huge economic benefits to the whole north west region, including Liverpool, the Director-General of the BBC told business leaders last night.

Mark Thompson was invited to the city as the keynote speaker at Liverpool Chamber of Commerce and Industry's annual dinner, at the BT Convention Centre.

Mr Thompson addressed 350 guests attending the black-tie event.
