Data firm’s profits up

CHESTER-BASED data specialist GB Group has gone back into the black after a year of strong growth.

The group reported a pre-tax profit of £500,000 in the six months to September 30, up from a loss of £1m for the same period a year ago. Revenues rose 43% to £11.3m.

GB chairman John Walker-Haworth said: “Our focus on the identity management market has enabled the group to lead this emerging sector.”
