CHESHIRE cabling group Volex is reshuffling its board after announcing the departure of its finance director.
Ian Degnan will resign as a director on January 5 to allow him to take up a new job in the Netherlands, though he will remain at Volex until the end of January.
Warrington-based Volex has now appointed Andrew Cherry as interim finance director. Mr Cherry, 41, was chief financial officer for SpinVox Limited until July, 2008, and before that held senior financial roles at Vodafone and Cable and Wireless Jamaica.
Volex chairman Mike McTighe said: “Ian made a significant contribution to the business. The Board wishes him well with his future endeavours.”
The group has also appointed Chris Geoghegan as its senior independent director with effect from December 31.
