A NEW recruitment tool has been added to the armoury of HR departments with the launch of an overhauled jobs site for the region.
Jobs-merseyside.co.uk, operated by Liverpool Daily Post owner Trinity Mirror, provides a range of new features including mini- sites, enhanced recruiter branding, keyword sponsorship and a CV database.
The new features ensure that firms can target suitable high-quality candidates and make sure that they get their pick of the 50,000 unique users who visit the site every month.
The recruitment site is being heavily promoted across the city at key sites and in trains and on taxis around Merseyside.
LDP Business editor Bill Gleeson said: “The jobs market is becoming increasingly competitive, but that can make it even harder for companies to find the right candidate. The new tools allow companies to make sure their vacancies stand out for the correct people enabling a quicker – and more fruitful – recruitment process.”
Advertisers have access to a searchable CV database while targeted e-mail alerts to the thousands of jobseekers will generate interest in specific vacancies and companies. Highly-targeted advertising by industry, location and keyword search ensure the right jobs are put in front of the right candidates – benefiting employers and jobseekers.
Branded profile pages will build brand awareness and help to sell the company to potential applicants.
Firms can also screen candidates by asking up to five questions at the application stage which will help to select the best candidates to invite for an interview.
Chris Bunyan, digital director of Trinity Mirror Regionals, said: “Across our portfolio of recruitment sites, we are now reaching a significant proportion of UK jobseekers and this investment will allow us to build on this market share by offering a world class product to candidates.
“Our advertisers will also benefit from even higher response levels, as candidates will find it easier to search and apply for jobs.”
