MAGNERS cider maker C&C Group reported a further slump in sales due to “very weak” consumer demand.
The Dublin-based firm said sales for the quarter to November 30 plunged 24% in Britain on a year earlier.
C&C expects operating profits for the year to February 28 to fall to 90m euros (£80.2m) from 125m euros as margins are expected to be squeezed by strong competition.
The group’s half-year figures in October revealed a 13.2% decline in total group revenues, to 302.4m euros (£240.5m).
