A MERSEYSIDE printer has been internationally recognised for its eco-friendly working practices.
Redwood has been accredited by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). This is for its efforts to source paper from renewable sources.
The endorsements guarantee paper used by Aintree-based Redwood has been acquired from sustainable forestry, where felled trees are renewed by seedlings and the forest is managed to ensure minimal impact.
Jonathan Aindow, managing director of Redwood, said: “We are delighted the FSC and PEFC have recognised our efforts to source paper from forests are managed to meet the social, economic and ecological needs of the future.”
