LIVERPOOL will be sending a delegation the world’s biggest commercial property fair in France in March despite the global economic downturn.
A public and private sector delegation from the city has attended MIPIM in Cannes for the past few years.
And Mike Taylor, investment and enterprise director at Liverpool Vision, which manages Liverpool’s presence at MIPIM, believes that despite uncertainty due to the current econo-mic climate, the case for attending is as strong as ever.
He said: “It’s vital that we continue to maintain Liverpool’s presence on the biggest of stages, as other big cities are doing, and this is an important international market-place where business will still be done.
“Liverpool is very much open for business and as much in these times, as in good, we must make others aware of our phenome-nal economic assets and low-cost base that make us more attractive than ever. This is not the time to hide our light under a bushel.”
The city will have an exhibition stand and business events to entice business people from around the world to invest in the city.
