CARDBOARD giant Progroup says the opening of its new plant, in Ellesmere Port, makes it the fastest-growing corrugated board producer in Europe.
Production started last week at the Cheshire plant, run by English subsidiary Prowell.
The plant has created 50 jobs at the town’s Pioneer Business Park and will produce 85,000 tons of corrugated board a year.
Progroup, which is based in Offenbach, southern Germany, has seven card factories in Europe.
