WIRRAL accident repair group Howard Basford has sold its bodyshop in Stockport to insurance giant Royal & Sun Alliance.
The deal, for an undisclosed sum, will give RSA its own repair facility in the Manchester area.
Howard Basford will consolidate its operations in the Manchester area at its recently acquired site in Trafford Park, which at 30,000 sq ft is larger than the Bredbury site and its previous Manchester site put together.
Howard Basford was established in 1983 by current chairman Tracy Howard and provides from its base in Ledsham, Wirral a full accident repair service for major insurance companies, fleet managers, accident management companies and private motorists.
Liverpool law firm DWF advised Howard Basford on the deal.
