A REPORT setting out the North West’s priorities for addressing its key challenges, including the short-term impact of the economic downturn and its longer-term implications for the regional economy, has been submitted to the Government.
The North West Regional Funding Advice (RFA) for 2008/9-2010/11, and up to 2018/19, sets out the region’s transport, housing and regeneration, economic development and skills priorities.
The advice will assist Government in developing policy and in making public spending decisions that impact directly on the region.
It has been produced by the Northwest Regional Development Agency and regional leaders forum, 4NW.
Phil Robinson, 4NW chief executive, said: “Preparing the Regional Funding Advice required us to make some tough choices, but crucially important ones to ensure the successful development of our region.”
