GREEN energy specialist Stiebel Eltron has achieved sales of £5m in its first year of operation in Wirral.
The German company opened a base in February, 2008, to provide products for systems like air conditioning and central heating.
Speaking at the world’s biggest heating products show in Frankfurt, Stiebel Eltron’s UK managing director, Mark McManus, said the firm had grown its global turnover to 475m euros and £5m in the UK.
“The strength of Stiebel Eltron’s performance worldwide, and in the UK, shows there is still a huge market for green energy products despite the downturn,” he said.
“The global turnover is being driven by western European sales and we are now looking forward to promoting a new range of products.
“With more organisations going green and installing renewable energy products, there is a huge demand for our products and services.”
