PROFESSIONAL Liverpool chief executive Mark Chadwick has been appointed to the Financial Services Sector Advisory Board (FSSAB), set up by the Prime Minister.
The board is a joint government and private sector initiative to promote the City and UK financial and related business services more generally, as the world's leading international financial centre. This includes securing international business for the City, ensuring open and fair market access for UK-based firms abroad, and attracting inward investment to the UK.
Professional Liverpool is a business support network for professional firms in the city.
Mr Chadwick said: “It’s an honour and great opportunity to represent the interests of the sector across the region. It is particularly relevant to us here in Liverpool, following on from European Capital of Culture and moving towards Shanghai Expo 2010. It’s an honour to represent the interests of the sector.”
Mr Chadwick will also chair a national regional forum, reporting into the FSSAB, that will act as a co-ordinating point for regional development agencies, inward investment, regional UKTI and private sector interests.
