SKELMERSDALE anti-vandal portable building maker Stackright is recruiting after a management buy-out rescued the firm earlier this year.
The company ceased trading in January and directors Mike Monnelly and Darren Jones completed a £350,000 buy-out in February, guaranteeing 10 jobs at the West Gillibrands Industrial Estate outfit.
The firm has added a further four jobs, and production director Darren Jones said they aimed to take on seven more staff over the next eight weeks.
Commercial director Mike Monnelly added: “We have been involved in this industry for 20 years now and have the utmost faith in the labour force and the product, so making the decision to invest was an easy one and focusing the production in the North West even easier.”
The MBO was put together with the help of the financial team at St Helens-based Tom Carroll Associates, and Mr Monnelly said: “His continued involvement now in the financial management of the business is crucial to what is a five-year plan to maintain the company’s prominent position within the industry and to bring further employment to the region.”
Stackright makes anti-vandal portable units, ranging from toilets to canteens and sales stores, smoking shelters and welfare units.
