A CAKE decorating equipment firm is showing that it can stand the heat by doubling the size of its Warrington premises.
Windsor CakeCraft, which supplies cake decorating equipment, sugarcraft products and cake decorations, is launching a shop and in-house bakery as it expands to take 4,000 sq ft at Winwick Quay.
It says the expansion programme, supported by accountancy firm Mitchell Charlesworth, is to meet demand from people looking to cut everyday living and wedding costs, as well as those starting their own home-baking businesses.
Chris O’Neil Bell, who founded the firm as a as a part-time online business in 2004, said: “Business is going really well and we’ve seen year-on-year growth of between 60-70%. The long hours and effort have been worth it and the business has reached a stage where I can concentrate on the company full-time and start planning for further growth.”
