LIVERPOOL’S award-winning Japanese restaurant chain Sapporo Teppanyaki is set to open a new outlet in Glasgow.
The company, which is located in Duke Street, will launch its third outlet in the Merchant City area of Glasgow, which is popular with independent design agencies, animators, bespoke jewellers and artists, in August later this year.
It will seat up to 160 guests on the Teppanyaki tables and also boast a small sushi and noodle bar area.
The expansion comes five years after Sapporo Teppanyaki was opened in Liverpool and three years after its sister restaurant in Manchester also opened its doors to the public.
Managing director Vince Margiotta said: “I have a particularly strong affinity with both Liverpool and Glasgow. As a native Scot and having worked in both cities, I am aware of the lifestyle and business culture of the localities, the idiosyncrasies and what people enjoy in being wined, dined and entertained.”
