A MAJOR national green energy conference is to be held in Liverpool later this yerar.
The inaugural Green Power Forum (GPF) is to take place at the BT Convention Centre, at Kings Dock, on October 15.
GPF chairman Mark McManus said the event aims to examine best practice in renewable energy heat pump technology – a key weapon in driving down carbon emissions.
“Heating is responsible for more than half of UK energy use,” he said.
“Both the public and private sectors are under enormous pressure to find environmentally friendly alternative forms of heating, away from oil and gas.
“Renewable energy heat pumps have a massive role to play in providing that alternative and this is where the GPF comes in.
“It is targeting professionals who are responsible for green energy.”
