ELAINE CUNNINGHAM, of south Liverpool store Elaine Cunningham Interiors, is to open a new BoConcept store at Rumford Investments’ 20 Chapel Street, in Liverpool’s business district.
The interior designer will open BoConcept on the ground floor of the RIBA award-winning new office building.
The new 5,000 sq ft store, set to open in September, will be the first BoConcept store to open in the North West and will stock the full range of its designer furniture and lifestyle products.
BoConcept was founded in Denmark in 1952 and has stores in more than 40 countries.
Ms Cunningham, said: “We chose 20 Chapel Street as it is such a landmark building, fits BoConcept’s vision for a new store, and is easily accessible for all our customers.
“I can see this quickly becoming a destination store for the city centre.”
Elaine Cunningham Interiors’ Aigburth Road store will continue to stock a range of other brands.
Alastair Newman, commercial marketing consultant for 20 Chapel Street, said: “This is an international brand and a first for the North West. We have interest in the remaining 1,500 sq ft retail unit where we are keen to secure another high quality retailer.”
The agent on the retail space is Hitchcock, Wright & Partners.
