Hankinson Painting Group brushes off opponents to claim four awards

A BIRKENHEAD painting contractor scooped four industry awards in June.

Hankinson Painting Group is a family-owned and run painting contractor with six sites in the North and Midlands.

It received two awards from the Painting and Decorating Association – the Premier Trophy, delivered outstanding work over a period of years, and the Industrial Painting Contract of the Year for its work on the Runcorn Bridge.

Hankinson was named Johnstones’ Painter of the Year at the Painter of the Year awards in Chester for its work on the Bullring Shopping Centre, in Birmingham, and drove away with the top prize of an £18,000 van.

It also won the Royal Mail Green Award at the Liverpool Daily Post Regional Business Awards for its work in recycling 50,000 used paint tins a year.

Group chief executive Stephen Hankinson said: “For our work to be consistently recognised by our peers is the ultimate accolade and I offer my congratulations to the teams involved.

“To have received the Premier Trophy is just incredible. That is about as high as it gets in the painting industry, in terms of recognition.”
