THE Daily Post next week stages its first online televised debate.
The debate will tackle the issues of unemployment and worklessness.
The discussion, sponsored by Reed in Partnership, will be hosted by business editor Bill Gleeson and an expert panel drawn from Merseyside’s opinion formers, including Liverpool Chamber of Commerce chief executive Jack Stopforth.
The half-hour debate will be streamed live online at www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk from 10.30am on Thursday, July 16.
The debate will be simultaneously accompanied by a live blog allowing viewers to put questions directly to the panel.
There are 56,560 people claiming jobseeker’s allowance in Liverpool city region, which has risen more than 20,000 in the last year, while the recession has not helped the historic high levels of worklessness which persists in some parts of Merseyside.
