Fraud warning on unused credit cards

MORE than 16m consumers hold at least two additional credit cards they no longer use, claims comparison site Uswitch.com.

As unemployment hits almost 2.4m and credit card rejections run at 3.32m, Uswitch believes consumers are using the accounts in a desperate bid to keep a financial safety net.

Research shows there are 38m unused credit cards with a total credit limit of £200bn.

But Uswitch warns these dormant accounts could be targeted by fraudsters.
