The scale of redundancies is starting to recede and the North West is faring better than the national average, says new poll

THE pace of UK job cuts is starting to slow this summer, with the North West faring better than the national average.

These are the findings of a quarterly poll of 900 employers by the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development and accountants KPMG.

It says not only are far fewer employers expecting to make redundancies, but the scale of planned job losses has also reduced.
