City Point secures two new tenants

AN OFFICE development just outside Liverpool city centre has secured two new tenants.

National charities Richmond Fellowship and Inclusion Matters have agreed to take Grade A space at City Point, in Great Homer Street.

Richmond Fellowship is taking two suites extending to 3,000 sq ft and Inclusion Matters, a 1,500 sq ft office suite. They join existing tenants Green Plan Energy and Off Plan Developments in the 27,500 sq ft commercial office development.

City Point claims to provide the ideal solution for companies looking to be close to the city centre but who do not want to face high city centre rents and car parking charges.

Andrew Owen, partner at Mason Owen – joint agents for City Point with CB Richard Ellis – said: “Despite the current economic climate, demand remains strong for accommodation at City Point.

“The development offers a rare opportunity for occupiers to take small suites on the fringe of the city centre with the benefit of car parking. The building has been designed to a Grade A standard, as good as anything within the city centre, and we believe that it is this quality of design, together with its excellent accessibility, that is attracting occupiers to the development.

“Despite the current economic climate and continued uncertainty within the marketplace, many companies are now realising that life goes on and are therefore taking a longer term approach to their business and property requirements.”

Ian Reynolds, of Richmond Fellowship, added: “City Point offered the ideal solution to our property requirements within the region, benefiting from a prominent but accessible location fitted out to an excellent standard with the added benefit of car parking.”

James Marshall, commercial director of Oscar Developments, said: “Interest in the scheme is now gaining momentum, and we are confident that occupancy rates will continue to improve.”
