WHITEGATES’ latest property auction has generated sales of £1m.
The event, held at the Radisson SAS, in Liverpool, attracted more than 200 people, with more than 70% of the 35 lots on offer sold.
The hammer came down on the majority of the lots at above the guide price.
The highest-priced lot in the auction, a four- bedroom detached property in Woolton, was sold for £406,000 – £11,000 above its guide price. Debbie Taylor, director of Whitegates Auctions, said: “We’ve seen a 60% increase in enquiries at this auction.
“Having spoken to the buyers and sellers, it would appear that, as well as the traditional investors, the auction room is now attracting first-time buyers and also individuals who want to sell their home quickly, but still achieve a good price.”
