Solicitor Eric Pysden assumes leading role at Chester & Cheshire tourism body

EDWARD PYSDEN is the new chairman of tourist board Visit Chester & Cheshire (VCC).

Mr Pysden, a solicitor and senior corporate partner at law firm Eversheds, lives in Alderley Edge.

His experience of the tourism sector includes positions within the Manchester Airport Group as interim chair and board member of Marketing Manchester.

Mr Pysden, 61, said: “I’m delighted to take up this role at such a crucial time for the visitor economy in Chester and Cheshire. The importance of tourism in leading the area out of recession cannot be under-estimated and Visit Chester & Chester will play a major part in focusing the efforts of both the public and private sectors to this end.”
