CLOUD computing firm Aimes Grid Services has announced a partnership with a Warrington IT firm to provide a business continuity and disaster recovery service.
Xicon will work with Aimes, which will host the service, to offer “private cloud” capabilities to businesses.
Aimes, a community interest company based on Liverpool Innovation Park, was set up in 2002 to exploit business opportunities arising from seeing the internet as a platform for services.
Professor Dennis Kehoe, chief executive of AIMES, said: “We constantly look for new technologies that will help us to make professional and secure disaster recovery solutions more affordable for our customers. Partnering with Xicon to exploit the benefits of cloud computing has enabled us to do just that at a time when businesses in the North West are crying out for increased data storage capacity.”
