Grosvenor Shopping Centre secures trio of tenants

CHESTER’S Grosvenor Shopping Centre has secured three new lettings.

Women’s clothing store Dash, independent bag retailer, Oxford Bags and GC Footwear, of Southport, are among the latest retailers to open in the city.

It follows a string of new shop openings at the centre in the past six months.

They include the recent opening of independent furniture store, Listers, which won the Best Newcomer accolade at the Grosvenor Shopping Centre Retailer Awards 2009, and Hugo Boss, which opened its £750,000 shop on the corner of St Michael’s Row, in the centre.

Anthea Baker, general manager of Dash, said: “We are delighted to open our new store inside the Grosvenor Shopping Centre.

“We used to have a shop in Chester city centre and are glad to be back retailing in the city.

“Business has been booming so far and we’ve had very good feedback from customers.

“The new store has also created four new jobs in the city.”

Joseph Ansloos, manager of Oxford Bags, opened his store at the centre with his wife, Linka, following the success of their first retail outlet at Burton Nurseries.

He said: “Our first retail outlet was established five years ago, and during this time we noticed a lot of customers travelling from Chester to buy our products, so we knew it would be the perfect place to open up our second store. “
