Enterprise signs up as main sponsor for Liverpool’s World Expo presence

LIVERPOOL’S urban regeneration message will be put in front of a global audience with the support of infrastructure services company Enterprise at next year’s World Expo.

The company, which maintains key infrastructure assets for Liverpool City Council as well as other local authorities, utility companies and central government organisations, has signed up for one of six £75,000 main sponsor packages.

Liverpool is the only UK city at next year’s Expo in Shanghai and is exhibiting in the Urban Best Practice Pavilion.

It is hosting the urban regeneration, energy and environment theme in the Liverpool Pavilion – one of six monthly themes, which also includes professional services and the knowledge sector.

Enterprise will showcase its work at the event and will focus on its regeneration initiatives and environmental innovations.

Dominic de Prochnow, head of international business at Enterprise, said: “The goal of increasing awareness of our environment, the energy we use and the importance of urban investment are messages that Enterprise supports fully because they are at the heart of our business activities.”

About 70m people are expected to visit the World Expo, with the organisers of Liverpool Pavilion preparing to welcome 1m during the 184-day event.
