SUTTON Kersh generated receipts of £3.45m from its latest Liverpool property auction.
The firm held its penultimate auction of the year at the city centre Crowne Plaza Hotel.
Pre auction activity was “unusually high” with 17% of the 71 lots available selling prior. A further 23 lots sold in the room and more sales completed post-auction.
The stand-out lot of the auction was a vacant piece of land on Norfolk Road in the city centre which sold for £210,000 – more than four times its guide price.
James Kersh, director of auctions at Sutton Kersh, said: “The bidding for Norfolk Road was incredible – a prime example of the extraordinary results that can be achieved by selling through auction.
“The vendor was delighted with. The room was busy and we remain positive. The market has come a long way from where it was a year ago.”
