LIVERPOOL corporate law firm DWF is reporting a 15% increase in fee income to £32m for the six months to October 31.
The St Paul’s Square-based firm says the biggest area of growth has been its people division, which includes employment law and pensions advice and which saw a 50% increase in business during the half-year.
Other growth areas were litigation (up 32%), insurance (up 18%) and private client work (up 10%).
DWF’s Leeds office increased headcount by 30% during the period and London by 25%.
The firm says it has managed to avoid major redundancy programmes, reduced working hours or the postponement of training contracts and expects to welcome a significant number of new joiners in the near future.
Managing partner Andrew Leaitherland said: “We are delighted that we are continuing to experience double-digit growth in such difficult economic conditions.
“We continue to invest in our people to grow our business in line with our strategy to become a top 30 law firm.”
