Calmer conditions boost British Land

BRITISH Land said it was pulling out of the “worst storm in real estate history” as it reported the first quarterly rise in the value of its portfolio for more than two years.

The property owner – whose portfolio includes the New Mersey Retail Park in Speke – posted a 1.4% hike in property value during the second quarter. It marked a turnaround on the double digit falls seen at the height of the crisis last year.
