Easyjet announces 24th route from Liverpool John Lennon airport

NO-FRILLS airline Easyjet will add another route to its Liverpool John Lennon airport network when it starts flights to the island of Malta on June 13 next year.

The latest destination from JLA takes the airline's total routes out of Liverpool to 24, served by nine aircraft based at the airport.

It is one of 10 new flights announced today commencing next year from five of its European bases, including Stansted, Manchester, Paris, Milan and Liverpool.

Easyjet north west marketing manager Trevor Spinks said: "We are committed to the region and look forward to further expansion."

Liverpool JLA spokesman Robin Tudor added: "It's great to see flights to Malta available once again from Liverpool.

"It's an island with tremendous history and culture and Easyjet's latest addition to their services from here will give the region's passengers more destinations to choose from at JLA with some great low fares to this Mediterranean destination."

The flight will operate a twice weekly rotation from June 13 with single fares starting from £28.99 and return fares from £56.98, including tax.
