A WATERLOO IT specialist has been hired to look after the would-be masters of the universe.
The PC Support Group is responsible for the technology that keeps the Daleks, the infamous baddies from iconic BBC TV hit series Dr Who, on the go.
Stunt co-ordinator and performer Abbie Collins co-ordinates the Daleks’ scenes in the hit show, and she has employed The PC Support Group to help her keep the Daleks running smoothly.
Simon Albert, co-founder of the IT firm, said: “I’ve been a huge fan of Doctor Who since I was little, so when we got the opportunity to actually work with the people behind the show we all jumped at the chance to get up close with some its most infamous characters.
“Abbi is behind some amazing projects and working with her really gives us the chance to get away from our everyday activities in the office and do something completely different.” As well as being the brains behind the Daleks, Ms Collins has also been involved in the filming of blockbusters like the new Harry Potter film, The Half Blood Prince, The Da Vinci Code and both Bridget Jones films, where she doubled for leading lady Renée Zellweger.
She welcomed Mr Albert’s team, saying: “They’re always there when I need a bit of help in the systems department.”
