A TRADE mission to India has been arranged for North West firms in February.
Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce is co-ordinating the trip with UK Trade and Investment (UKTI), but it is open to all north- west Chambers of Commerce members.
India is the UK's 18th largest export market and its second largest export market in the developing world after China.
Barbara Singleton, of GM Chamber's International Trade Team, said: “India offers many partnering possibilities for companies, universities and colleges.
“The Indian middle class is 300m strong. This represents a single English-speaking market comparable in size to the population of all of the UK's EU trading partners combined.”
The benefits of the visit, between February 15-21, include a UKTI support package of £730 for eligible companies, experienced international trade advisers providing pre-visit assistance, networking receptions and advance local publicity.
