Sutton Kersh to hold final auction n 2009

SUTTON Kersh will hold its final Liverpool property auction of the year next week.

The property firm says 67 lots will go under the hammer at the city centre Crowne Plaza Hotel on Tuesday, December 8.

Despite a depressed property market, Sutton Kersh has already generated sales of £21m from five auctions held this year.

The first lot to go under the hammer will be 96, Sandhurst Street, in Aigburth, a mid-terrace vacant house which has a guide price of £75,000.

A new residential development in Woodland Road, in Birkenhead, will also be offered.

The building was completed at the end of 2008 and includes nine two-bedroom apartments and nine car parking spaces.

The property is fully let on separate assured shorthold tenancies producing more than £53,000 per annum and has a guide price of £500,000.

Sutton Kersh director James Kersh said: “There are some exceptional residential investment opportunities available in the sale. Stock levels have fallen off, but these restrictions on supply may help to maintain values. Given the turbulence in the property market this year, I am pleased with our performance.

“We have averaged £4m per sale, which is no mean achievement in this climate.

“The prevalence of private investors is indicative of renewed confidence in the market, and I believe we will see continued improvements in performance in the New Year.”
