MARK Fuller, managing director of Liverpool-based Alliance Fund Managers (AFM), has left the investment organisation.
Late last year the Cunard Building-based venture announced plans to axe up to eight jobs through a redundancy process after delays in a bidding programme to administer a new investment fund overseen by the North West Development Agency.
A spokeswoman for AFM said today that Mr Fuller is part of that redundancy process.
She added: "Mr Fuller is now on gardening leave. This has been a joint decision."
AFM was responsible for administering the Merseyside Special Investment Fund which was set up in 1996 to provide equity and loans to small firms deemed "too risky" for conventional bank lending.
It provided funding from European and private sector sources.
