Search for Daresbury Science & Innovation Campus private sector development partner narrows

DARESBURY Science and Innovation Campus has narrowed its search for a private sector development partner.

Last October, it announced five potential candidates in its bid to fund a 30-year growth plan for 1m sq ft of land which could create more than 6,000 jobs.

It has now reduced the short list to three after jettisoning Goodmans and Quantum, leaving British Land, Igloo Regeneration Consortium and Langtree to vie for the lead role.

The campus public sector partners, the Northwest Development Agency (NWDA), Science and Technology Facilities Council and Halton Council will now deliberate on the final selection process, which should be announced by May this year.
