AN ENTERPRISING student from Liverpool John Moores University says her cupcake business has been such a success that she will soon open an outlet in the city centre.
Third-year student Natasha Odita, 31, of Toxteth, founded Camp Cupcake last year.
Her cakes have proved a hit and were served at last week’s glittering Hilton Liverpool opening party.
“I’ve been baking ever since I was little,” she said. “But it was in my second year at university that I thought ‘why not make a profitable business here?’
“It’s gone from strength to strength since then, and we’re hoping to launch our retail premises in May or June. Even in the recession, people still want to buy cupcakes.”
