Printing venture allows firms to donate to charity

A NEW printing venture set up in Liverpool will allow clients to give cash to charity.

Charityprintshop.com has been founded by Liverpool- based printer, Mark Wood, and part of Phlex UK. For every business card order placed online, 25% is donated to the customers’ nominated charity at no additional cost.

The firm claims print prices are kept to a minimum due to the large volumes processed, enabling donations to be made to charities and savings to be passed on to the customer.

Businesses are also able to boost their profiles by demonstrating a commitment to corporate social responsibility.

Charityprintshop. com is already working with charities, both local and national, including the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, the Rhys Jones Memorial Fund and Save the Family.

Mr Wood decided to commit to helping charities following a series of life-changing events. He lost his mother to cancer and his father died of a heart condition.

Two years ago, he was airlifted from a beach in North Wales by the Wales Air Ambulance after severing his leg in a surfing accident.

He said: “I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for those guys.”
