Southport law firm secures £4m funding package

SOUTHPORT law firm Fletchers Solicitors has secured a £4m bank finance package to fund its expansion.

Established in 1987, Fletchers specialises in motorcycle personal injury claims and has forged a reputation as experts in this particular area of law.

Each year the firm acts for thousands of injured motorcyclists, with its scope of work ranging from minor accidents through to serious injuries.

Like most personal injury law firms, Fletchers obtain a proportion of their cases via accident intermediaries and plan to use the Royal bank of Scotland funding to grow the volume of cases from these sources.

Fletchers’ personal injury teams also represent individuals who have suffered a spinal or serious injury, as well as dealing with less complex cases such as slips and trips. The firm employs 60 people at its Lord Street base.

Managing director Robert Fletcher said: “When we launched the firm over 20 years ago one of our main goals was to fight for the legal rights of injured motorcyclists, many of whom had sustained life changing injuries.

“This continues to be a key priority for the firm, and is an area that we will look to grow.”

Sara Hutton, senior relationship manager at RBS, added: “Fletchers has an excellent reputation in a niche sector of the market.”
