“These ultra-modern vehicles will make journeys more comfortable and the added reassurance of the high- quality CCTV on every one of these new buses is an extra safety measure that we hope passengers will appreciate.”
Stagecoach’s improvement is the latest in a series of recent upgrades by Liverpool bus operators.
Earlier this month Arriva, which provides about 60% of bus services across Merseyside, announced it was nearing completion of its own £28m investment in 199 new vehicles for the region.
On March 1, 14 new buses entered service on the Liverpool to Southport link and on April 1 the final 13 buses will start operating on the Liverpool to Croxteth route.
