Apprentice has Liverpool's Panoramic restaurant waiting on a future star

A WIRRAL apprentice is hitting the heights early in his career – by working at the UK’s highest restaurant.

Josh Parmar, 18, has spent the last year working at Panoramic, on the 34th floor of the West Tower, in Liverpool’s business district.

His role has included reception management, bar training and waiting-on, and he is about to start training in restaurant management.

Mr Parmar became an apprentice after becoming frustrated with college.

He said: “I have really enjoyed my apprenticeship so far. I love being able to implement my training and put everything I learn into practice – it’s a great way to get the experience and confidence to move up the career ladder.”

Panoramic’s restaurant manager, Oliver Hawthorne, said: “Anyone who is serious about getting involved in the hospitality industry needs to get real working experience to be the best.

"I started, just as Josh has, as an apprentice, and have moved my way up through the industry, eventually coming to Panoramic.
