THE postbag was under strain last week as entries flooded in to meet the deadline for the Liverpool Daily Post Regional Business Awards.
The judging panel, which includes business editor Bill Gleeson and Tom Cannon, professor of strategic development at the University of Liverpool, meet today to discuss the entries.
They will be joined by Philip Rooney, office managing partner of DLA Piper, and Ian Goalen, KPMG Liverpool’s senior partner.
The awards shortlist will be announced in next week’s LDP Business.
The regional business awards – now in their 19th year – have always sought to recognise the sterling work that our businesses and business leaders do in improving our region’s prosperity.
This year, the awards dinner will be at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral, on Thursday, May 27, and hosted by the redoubtable Peter Sissons.
The keynote speaker, who will be announced shortly, is well-placed to discuss the role of business in driving the regional and national economy forward in the post-election landscape.
